abstract: Il lungo saggio che presentiamo presenta più di un elemento di interesse. E’ una operazione semiotica essendo analisi di un testo visivo estetico astratto ben noto ai semiotici (untitled n. 24 di Mark Rothko). Costituisce però anche il tentativo di rispondere ad una domanda rispetto alla metodologia semiotica materialmente adeguata all’analisi di un testo astratto, e dunque prende preliminarmente in esame le analisi già esistenti, ponendosi dunque su di un piano di indagine metasemiotico.
